Description

An 18-month internship to provide comprehensive legal assistance and administrative support to the Group Legal and Contracts Department. The intern will assist with document preparation, filing, report writing, research, and help manage the litigation management unit by coordinating internal and external legal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal assistance and administrative support to the Group Legal and Contracts Department and Municipal Entities
  • Perform general office support and telephonic service tasks
  • Manage the litigation management unit by executing instructions, coordinating with internal directors/legal advisors, and external legal practitioners
  • Arrange and attend meetings (eg, BSCs, BECs)
  • Manage administrative activities for the litigation unit

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Essential: Matric/Grade 12 Certificate
  • Essential: National Diploma or Degree in Law, LLB, Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or a related field
  • Experience: No experience required
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the MS Office Suite
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and people skills
  • Coordination skills

Base Salary: Qualification completed: R10 109,86 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits). Enrolled as a 2nd - Final year student : R3 500.00 pm (Basic salary, no benefits)
